Life at Shalom is amazing. It’s full of fun when I want it to be, but quiet and productive when I need it be. The food is high quality, the people are incredible, and I can wake up 15 minutes before class and still make it on time. I can chill in my room and study (play guitar), go out in the city with my mates, or walk down the road for a surf. Simply put, Shalom College is the place to be.

Living at Shalom was a great experience and I’m so happy I decided to live there! I thought I would feel homesick coming all the way from Canada, but the residents and staff made it feel like a home away from home. I enjoyed the food and also the sense of community and the activities that were organized. Everyone was incredibly supportive and I met amazing people from different parts of the world.

Shalom’s staff and tutors were like family members to me, they were always been very supportive and encouraging. As an international student, it was a wonderful place to be integrated into the local community. Whilst I was there, more than 50% of the residents were Australian, and I learned so much about the local culture and lifestyle from them. For me, Shalom was a home away from home, and it was not only a community but a big family.
